Post Weight Loss Surgery Depression

If a person becomes obese, then do they gain much muscle mass to carry around excess weight?

I used to be 175 pounds, but through of a depression that stole 130 pounds in a year. Since then I have fought year after year, just to gain another 80 pounds or what makes the grand total about of 210 pounds gained over a period of five years, with about 150 pounds in the first 2 years. Since I have had intermittent but steady, not the whole the period. I feel such pressure on my legs when I walk. I'm about to go through a weight loss surgery to help me in order to lose weight, but I will make sure to keep protein intake high and try to stay as healthy as possible after the operation. Ultimately, my question is, have I won a ton of muscle mass (especially in my lower body) to carry 200 pounds of excess weight that I have now with me?

I think he would win a little more muscle mass if their active, but when you think about it – usually obese people do not exercise much and they do not use much muscle there – Which can cause them to consume rather than be acquired. For that – I do not know if the legs for more than an hour a day and exercise all seems like something that could happen.
