How do I get my scale weight watchers work?

I just got a weight watchers scale by the manufacturer. It does not work. I hit the scale where it is said with his hand but nothing ever happens. The customer service people said that removing the nail in the niche of depth and see if that helps but I have no idea what are speaking. Anyone know? Observers is the normal weight scale and just gives weight readings.

mmm …. open the battery box and see if you have a battery. Do come with a manual?
