Problems with a LAP-BAND (weight loss surgery)?
Ok, I've had one for several years. I have lost considerable weight (more than 30 kg) but then started gaining again. thought I was eating healthier foods. BUT, I recently discovered the band split. I had surgery to repair a few days ago. I heard from another person who has "fixed" the same day as me in that hospital. By broken I mean, the connecting pipes the real band and the port have somehow been disconnected, and the liquid ran out, deflating the band. Does anyone have this happen before? And how common is this balance? Of course, after having settled it was a tragedy, but it does mean surgery again. Is this a manufacturing defect? What can cause? And more importantly, how likely is it happening again?
Most gastric surgeries eventually stop working or not overeat because the patient.
